[This was said when the Hades chapter was continuing in the manga] 

"Saint Seiya" is the first piece that was transformed into animation. The moving feeling when the first episode was broadcast, I will never forget it! 

 The reason the anime "Saint Seiya" is so popular is all because of the production crew's enthusiasm and high quality artwork. Especially Shingo Araki-san's art design and Seiji Yokoyama-san's music, they turned "Kurumada Manga" into an incalculable excitement and influence, producing a more perfect piece. 

 However, the important aspects of the original piece[the manga], is in the now continuing "Hades Chapter". This chapter can be said to be the heart[or center] of the story. All the mysteries will be answered in this chapter.  In thanking everyone, I hope everybody will continue to support us!

The Bronze Saint's Friendship 

 The inspiration of this piece[the manga], came from some information called 'Leo's Group of Meteors'. Looking at above, all the meteors landing, it gave me the idea of the main character as a 'Saint'.  At first I wanted to use Leo as the main character's constellation, however after few changes, I finally decided on Pegasus, because the Pegasus means it can fly in the sky, this suited the main character. As for the original idea of 'Leo's Group of Meteors', it later became the move the main character uses. The main character's name, it came from the Sacred Objects of Arrow and Book of  'Sacred Arrow', it later became 'Star Arrow'[Seiya]. 

 In the beginning of the manga, the 10 bronze Saints were enemies. As for Shun's Nebula Chains, the inspiration came from the constellation Andromeda, left is the circle, right is the triangle. 

 For the strongest enemy, I decided to use Ikki as the 'No Die bird'[immortal bird] of Pheonix Constellaton, for a strong contrast with brother Shun. 

 To make everything solid, I choose from 88 constellations 10 that would be bronze Saints, from the particular constellation I get their personalities. 

 Shiryu's cloth has the most powerful punch and shield, this came from the chinese story "Spear and Shield." [It's literal meaning is spear and shield, its true meaning is contradiction]  

 For Hyoga, it was a little different, I came up with the idea of the 
Everlasting Ice Wall, Hyoga[Literal meaning 'Ice River', true meaning Glaciers]. As for Hyoga's mother it came from a story about a ninja. 

Gold Saints.... 

 When Gold Saints came on the scene, I have to think of the  
constellations. For example, Libra represents determining good and evil, Aries would give a very elegant feeling to people. As for Hyoga's master, I first thought of Milo, but I realized that ice and water has a relation, that is why it became Camus. 

 The Pope's real idenity was Gemini Saint, this was decided from the beginning. But to use which: two personalities or twins? I took a long time couldn't decide, eventutally I used both. At first we wanted to use Shura as the Gemini Saint's name, it came from Ashura[this is a Hindu God of battle] to give a feeling of good battle. However, eventually I used the name on Capricorn Saint, because he defeated Aiolos.
